Jeffrey Bernhard, MD
Dr. Jeffrey Bernhard joined Kuchnir Dermatology in 2010. Dr. Bernhard previously served two decades as chief of dermatology at UMass Medical School, where he is now emeritus professor of medicine and physiology. He was also Dean of Admissions and chair of the admissions committee at UMassMed for six years. Dr. Bernhard was editor-in-chief of the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology for 10 years, and presently serves on the editorial boards of the British Journal of Dermatology, the Journal of the European Academy of Dermatology, and the International Journal of Dermatology. He is an honorary member of the British Association of Dermatologists and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh. He has been a visiting professor at, among others, the University of Virginia, University of Michigan, University of Pennsylvania, Harvard, Yale, Brown, Dartmouth, UConn, the Mayo Clinic and the National Skin Center of Singapore. He completed dermatology residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Bernhard graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Harvard College and received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School. He is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology.
